Police conduct CSI again in the house of a family found dead in West Jakarta

Jakarta, IO – Jakarta Metro Police Department on Wednesday (16/11) conducted a crime scene investigation (CSI) for the second time to figure out the cause of death of a family found dead in an extremely emaciated condition in Citra Garden I Extension housing complex, West Jakarta, following the first one on Sunday (13/11), reported CNN Indonesia.

Criminal Investigation Unit Director Chief Commissioner Hengki Haryadi said the second autopsy was carried out to re-examine any evidence that might have been missed at the scene during the first CSI. Previously, police found several new pieces of evidence, from used food packages to shopping receipts.

“We will involve various experts to ensure that the results will be fully scientific,” he said. So far, the police have yet been able to ascertain the cause of death. Based on the initial results of examination, no signs of foul play were found. The victims are suspected to have died due to prolonged starvation. (un)
