Jakarta, IO – The United Development Party (PPP) opens window of opportunity to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s Onward Indonesia Coalition (KIM).
“Yes, of course to develop Indonesia we have to be together in the future,” said PPP acting chairman Mardiono, per CNN Indonesia, Tue (16/4).
However, Mardiono did not give a firm answer regarding the rumored political maneuver. Mardiono said so far the party has yet to hold any internal meeting to discuss the matter.
“Let me say it once more, we are still part of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet led by President Jokowi,” he said.

In the 2024 presidential election, PPP was part of the coalition with PDI-P in support of the losing presidential pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
Currently, the decision by the Indonesian Electoral Commission (KPU) to formalize Prabowo-Gibran’s victory is being challenged at the Constitutional Court (MK) by both Ganjar-Mahfud and Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar. (un)
