PT Laba Forexindo Berjangka director Ibrahim Assuaibi attributed this to several factors, including the escalation of conflicts in the Middle East after Iran attacked Israel on April 13, which has caused investors to seek safe haven assets such as gold and the greenback and avoid putting their money on riskier financial assets in developing countries.
