Jakarta, IO – BRI is 127 years young! This year, BRI celebrated its 127th anniversary by holding BRILian Fest, Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the Madya Square, Gelora Bung Karno Areas, Jakarta. This exhibition started from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and was attended by 127 MSME businesses.
One of the MSMEs curated by BRI is KRIPI, a banana chip initiated by Kalya Mahiya Pravina, a grade 8 student from SMP Al Izhar Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, along with her mother.
Kalya explained that the “KRIPI” Brand is a shortened form of Klangenan (precious), Roso (taste), Impen (dream), Praveena, and Indonesia. “I wish to make KRIPI as an Indonesian dream snack that people will love,” she rhapsodized.
KRIPI banana chips come in three flavors: Chocolate, Sweet Original, and Balado. “People’s favorite flavor is the Sweet Original variant. You can taste the authentic banana, especially because it is made of bananas with the right level of ripeness,” she added.
