“This is the momentum to reform the police force. We are grateful that the public comes from various regions. We hope that the case can be resolved soon, and nothing is covered up,” said protest coordinator Saor Siagian, a member of Tampak.

The crowd then moved around the HI roundabout and sang the national anthem Indonesia Raya. The dispersed afterward being warned not to exceed the duration agreed.

“According to the agreement, we hope that all those present leave the HI roundabout immediately. This is in accordance with Jakarta Governor regulation 228 on the prohibition of demonstrations at HI roundabout,” an officer spoke via loudspeaker.
