Justice for Brig. Yoshua vigil closely guarded by security officers

The handling of the death of Brig. Joshua, who was shot several times at the residence of the Police internal affairs chief (Kadiv Propam) Ferdy Sambo in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, has been full of mystery and controversy with conflicting statements and accusations of cover-up by the police. On Friday (22/7), National Police spokesperson Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo conveyed that the status of investigation has been stepped up.

“11 people from the family of Brig. J have been quizzed by investigators from the National Police Headquarters at the Jambi Regional Police Department,” said Dedi.

President Joko Widodo himself directed the National Police to resolve the high-profile case properly so it doesn’t erode public trust and confidence in the police institution. Jokowi asked the Police to investigate the case transparently and thoroughly. (rr)
