Yogyakarta, IO – After a two-year forced hiatus thanks to the pandemic, the JogjaROCKarta Festival (“JRF”) came back to satisfy the hunger of Indonesian rock aficionados, on 24-25 September 2022 at Tebing Breksi, Yogyakarta. Despite the various ups and downs of the organization, JRF continued to take another step in its journey in line with its current tagline, “History Continues”.
Previously, the Festival’s theme was “Rock on Jeep” and the audience was meant to enjoy the rock show from atop jeeps. However, with changes in the regulations, now they can all enjoy rock standing up, jumping around, headbanging, and moshing – as the Lord means it to be.
“After a 2.5 year of vacuum amid the battle with the pandemic, when everyone was forced to stay at home and do everything there online, including watching concerts, we busted our butts working to ensure that the 5th JogjaROCKarta can be held outdoors. Hey, after all, our tagline is ‘History Continues’,” declared Anas Syahrul Alimi, Founder of Rajawali Indonesia and CEO of JogjaROCKarta Festival excitedly.
