“JRF is actually not meant to be held in just one venue consistently. When health rules changed, we initially had trouble finding the right venue for the Festival here in Yogyakarta. We wanted to find a spot some distance away from the city to allow the experience of jeep riding while maintaining social distancing,” Anas said. “Thankfully, we hit on Tebing Breksi. Its exotic scene, a combination of ancient rocky cliffs and ancient carved stone temple, lit with unusual natural light, makes it just the perfect, right venue for holding a rock festival. In the new venue, JogjaROCKarta presents various experiences: the Pasar Kangen or “Nostalgia Market” bazaar, the camping area, and the 3 stages showcasing 55 bands for two whole days.”
