Nuanu, located on the coast of Tabanan in Bali, represents innovation, collaboration and global transformation. Spanning 44 hectares, this creative area will be a hub for a dynamic community where creators, leaders, and changemakers come together to collaborate and drive positive expression. As an integrated ecosystem, Nuanu will access space for education, arts and culture, wellness, experience and nature-inspired living.

“Our vision goes beyond just being a tourist destination; we are here to create a vibrant ecosystem, one designed to inspire, connect and drive positive changes. We are very excited to soon showcase the results of four years of planning and our efforts in building this creative area,” expressed Sergey Solonin, Founder of Nuanu.

Visitors to Nuanu are also going to enjoy a number of monumental art installations enhanced by visual mapping projections, one of which is the Earth Sentinels Statue, a breathtaking sculpture built by South African artist Daniel Popper about the human connection to nature and its purity.

Another art installation will be the Tower of Bhuma, designed by French architect Arthur Mamou-Mani, inspired by the golden ratio and constructed of recycled wood and rattan from ancient colonial bridges. Bhuma, which means “earth” in Sanskrit, symbolizes inspiration and contemplation.

Located at the heart of Nuanu lies Eco Path, a symbiosis of art and nature offering a futuristic audiovisual experience. There is also Harmony, a social health and fitness complex dedicated to promoting health, healing, and transformation. The OSHOM Boutique Hotel and Terra Garden invite a relaxing experience and regeneration, infused with local Balinese wisdom.

Nuanu for international festivals and pioneer projects

Nuanu will also host several international festivals, such as the Festival Suara (Voice Festival), a three-day celebration fusing independent art, music, culture, and health and wellness from July 26th to 28th, 2024. Other festivals lining up are CoinFest and the annual Web3 festival, which will take place in August 2024. DEEP, a health festival for creative thinkers, visionaries, and artists, will take place in October 2024. “Our journey over the past four years has been a dynamic one, aligning with our vision of harmonious living. During this incubation period, we experimented with various initiatives, each contributing to our commitment to creating a dynamic community in harmony with nature, humanity, and the Creator—a principle deeply rooted in the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. We are very excited to welcome visitors to experience our innovative spaces and facilities firsthand,” explained Ida Ayu Astari Prada, Brand Communications Director of Nuanu.

To contribute to the development of the Balinese property market, Nuanu collaborates with various leading parties experienced in building recreational spaces and residences, to instill harmony between urban life and the natural world. Nuanu has partnered with Nuanu Property Group, UNIT Space, and OXOLiving to develop an elite residential complex consisting of high-tech homes that provide a blend of modern luxury and a sustainable lifestyle. Nuanu ensures that this living experience is carefully designed to align with the ethos of a creative city.

In 2025, Nuanu will welcome a number of exciting events to enrich Nuanu as a creative area. One of these is the Eugene Museum, a unique collaboration with Japanese-American artist Eugene Kangawa and designed by renowned Indonesian architect Andra Matin. The museum is a unique space for art enthusiasts. Curated by Kangawa himself, the museum will showcase a diverse collection of his works reflecting his long-term theme of “Symbiosis”, integrating abundant natural light to create a stunning masterpiece in Nuanu’s landscape and facilities.

iFarm will complete the Nuanu ecosystem, with an indoor vertical farming system supported by sophisticated agricultural technology, where plants grow efficiently, based on a multigreen technology. Another experience offered by Nuanu will be The Head, a spiral-shaped space inspired by the Nautilus shell, designed as a meeting point for culinary arts, craftsmanship, and creativity to form a leading-edge inclusive experience for all ages.

Inspiring change through collective movement

Nuanu integrates corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities into its business model by allocating a proportion of its profits to the Nuanu Social Fund (NSF), which promotes positive social and environmental development. The funding aims to empower communities and create tangible societal impacts by nurturing cooperation and collaboration. The NSF has supported transformative projects such as establishing an education center in Beraban Village, Tabanan, to empower children with computer skills, and preserving Gambang, a 300-year-old Gamelan musical instrument, ensuring the heritage endures for future generations. Nuanu’s CSR philosophy promotes unity, recognizing every individual and stakeholder contribution to crafting a shared future, one with meaningful impacts and changes. (des)
