He explained that his party still maintains good relations with all coalition partners in the 2019 election. He said Gerindra will “go with the flow” in the process and stages of the 2024 elections.
Nevertheless, he said his party must also be realistic in its efforts to nominate Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno again because to qualify for 2024 presidential election, Gerindra needs to meet the presidential nomination threshold. With a coalition, it is likely that the VP ticket will be given to a candidate supported by the coalition parties.
“We also have to be realistic because our share of votes is not enough to go it alone, we have to collaborate with other parties and logically the position of vice presidential candidate is certainly requested by other parties,” said Habiburokhman.
