Jakarta, IO – Muslims in Indonesia are making various preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan which will start in less than 10 days. A number of typical Indonesian traditions have also begun to take place in many areas.

One of them is the Ngubyag Balong tradition from one of the regions of West Java. This unique tradition is practised in Sindangasih Cikatomas village, per Okezone, Mon (4/3).

It refers to a fishing activity carried out by village residents by all ages for generations. People will flock to a large fish pond and share their joy by distributing fish into the pond and then try to catch them with their bare hands.
