In addition, there are other historical objects, namely six palanquins, the nameplate of the Sin-Beng and Sin Tek Bio. These objects were made between 1768 and 1753.

To one of the guards, Observerid.com asked about the mystical nuance of the temple. Santoso, who hails from Central Java, whispered that sometimes he feels that the god statues are alive with spirit inside.

“Believe it or not, it looks like they are. We usually wake up at four in the morning, light the candles, and we can feel their presence,” he said with a smile.

Santoso hopes that the government can pay more attention to the temple, especially with regard to its access so visitors can feel more convenient. (rr)
