Police hunt Japanese fraudster believed to flee to Indonesia

Jakarta, IO – Yusuke Yamazaki, 42, a fugitive in a fraud case is alleged to have fled to Indonesia.
“He is being pursued,” said secretary of NCB Interpol Amur Chandra, reported Detik, Thursday (9/3).

He said the Japanese citizen would be promptly deported if he is arrested.

National Police spokesperson Ahmad Ramadhan explained that Japanese Police has requested Indonesia’s assistance in tracking Yusuke’s whereabouts. Ahmad said Yusuke will not be able to hide or on the run for much longer as his movement will now be limited.

“A red notice has been issued against him. If arrested, we will hand him over to the Japanese Police,” said Ramadhan. (un)
