Riza said the central government’s policy to increase ojol fares in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas aims to improve public transportation services.

The latest fare adjustment which supplants previous Transportation Minister Decree 348/2019 will be based on zones. As Jabodetabek is in Zone 2, ojol fare will be adjusted from previously Rp2,000 per km for base rate and Rp2,500 for ceiling rate to Rp2,600 and Rp2,700, respectively; while minimum service charge goes up from Rp8,000-Rp10,000 to Rp13,000-Rp13,500.
