To pass parliamentary threshold, the Labor Party is targeting to get 4%-5% of national votes or minimum 15%-20% of House representation.

“We believe we can reach this target because we have some 10 million members, not to mention potential votes from other groups of the society who are not labors,” he said.

According to its article of association, the Labor Party is founded on the Pancasila ideology, and anchored on its second and fifth principles, namely just and civilized humanity and social justice for all of the people of Indonesia. The party’s objective is to realize a welfare state. (rr)
