Jakarta, IO – Asian netizens were excited by the appearance of fried durian in the Netflix series entitled “The Man from Toronto.” They seemed stunned that this native fruit from the Asia can be fried.
The action flick features Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson as the main characters. The series follows Kevin Hart’s character who is mistaken for the character of Woody Harrelson, a notorious assassin, according to World of Buzz, Thursday (7/7).
In one of the scenes, Woody Harrelson is seen preparing breakfast. He took a durian, then cut it open with a knife. The strong-smelled fruit is then dipped in flour blended with egg, then fried until it turns golden brown. It does look appetizing. The outside is crunchy and the inside is still soft.
“When I saw this scene, I was like really? There are also those who say, “It’s okay (fried durian), the important thing is the way he opens the durian, it’s skillful,” said a netizen when the scene was uploaded to Netflix Malaysia’s Instagram account on Monday (4/7).
