Biden’s overall poll satisfaction continues to decline, but this appears to have nothing to do with the situation in Ukraine

It appears that the situation in Russia and Ukraine does not necessarily benefit Biden. Although over 85 percent of supporters of both the Democratic and Republican parties in the United States support greater economic sanctions against Russia, this does not automatically translate into a big public opinion advantage for Biden. Of course, with the conflict in Ukraine still raging, Biden does not see evident casualties here.

Indeed, the fundamental reason for Biden’s continual deterioration in public popularity is from the United States (of course, Biden has argued that this is indirectly caused by Putin). Inflation continues (and the logistics chain is not smooth), the national debt exceeds 30 trillion, the death toll from the new crown exceeds 1 million, oil prices continue to soar, and half of respondents say the US economy is in recession or depression (according to the most recent USA Today poll), the US trade deficit will hit a record high in 2021 (despite the annual economic growth performance), and the US CPI will hit a 40- year high in May 2022. These factors have a direct influence on the general public’s perception of the Biden administration.

Read: Washington’s irrational desire to dominate the world

The international community is increasingly aware that Washington’s preoccupation with unipolar hegemony has made it the most dangerous threat to the present international order. What the United States has done has not only caused disaster on its own territory, but has also sent significant shockwaves through the global economic and trade system, poisoned international ties, and pulled the entire globe down to pay for its selfish “rules.” The US government’s continual crimes against universal ideals and justice have destroyed its credibility while dragging the globe to the brink of disaster.
