Jakarta, IO – Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto received the visit by Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) at his residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Friday (24/6).
AHY said they discuss national and people’s issues in the two-hour meeting. Political analyst Ujang Komarudin said the meeting was a positive step as it opened up path for both parties to explore potential cooperation.
“Whatever the aim is, the meeting is a positive step to build a chemistry, whether it will lead to a coalition or not, that is another matter,” Ujang told observerid.com, Saturday (25/6).
In addition, Ujang believes the meeting will benefit both of them, especially Prabowo Subianto as it will show another side of Prabowo as a senior figure who is willing to share his views and be visited by young leaders like AHY.
