Jakarta, IO – Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi during a hearing with the House Committee V on Wednesay (6/4) briefed lawmakers on the preparation for upcoming Eid exodus traffic.
Budi predicted that around 79 million people would return to their hometowns during Eid this year. This figure is based on the study conducted by Transportation Ministry in March.

“As I mentioned before, the first survey concluded about 50 million people. But in the next survey this increased to 79 million people. And 13 million of those are from Greater Jakarta area,” said Budi.
