Jakarta, IO – Two soccer players Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat have been formally naturalized as Indonesian citizens. The approval was given by the House of Representatives (DPR) during the 5th Plenary Session of 2022-2023 on Tuesday (20/9).

Chaired by House Deputy Speaker Lodewijk Paulus alongside House Deputy Speaker Rachmat Gobel, the House Committee III and X approved the granting of citizenship to Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat. Lodewijk then asked for approval from all factions to affirm the decision.

“Approved,” the Committee members replied.

The House Committee X previously held a working meeting with Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali and the Soccer Association of Indonesia (PSSI) chairman Muhammad “Irwan Bule” Iriawan regarding the naturalization of Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh. On that occasion, the House Committee X approved the decision.
