Jordi Amat has an Indonesian heritage from his grandmother, who is from Makassar, South Sulawesi and is a descendant of MD Kansil, the King of Siau who ruled from 1895 to 1909. However, his mother was born in the Netherlands and his father is a Spaniard.

Sandy Walsh is also of Indonesian descent. His mother is Brigitta Portier, whose parents are Javanese. Sandy’s grandfather was from Surabaya and his grandmother from Purworejo. They married and moved to the Netherlands. His father is Anglo-Irish of Somali descent. (rr)
