Jakarta, IO – Indonesia mourns the passing of Press Council chairman and Muslim scholar Azyumardi Azra who died at the age of 76 on Sunday (18/9).
Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia had lost one of its great national figures who always put tolerance and moderation first.
“He always prioritizes moderation, tolerance, and inclusivity,” Prabowo said, as reported by Antara, Tuesday (20/9).
Prabowo said that the former Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) rector always promotes Islam that is Rahmatan lil alamin (blessing for the universe).
