Rp560B of Papua governor’s money flows to offshore casino

Jakarta, IO – The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) revealed that Rp560 billion belonging to Papua governor Lukas Enembe flowed into foreign casinos. Lukas was named by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as a suspect for receiving gratification.

“Since 2017, PPATK has submitted 12 results of analysis to KPK,” said PPATK chief Ivan during a press conference on Monday (19/9), as reported by Detik.

“One of the results of the analysis is related to the cash deposit transaction in question at a casino worth US$55 million, or Rp560 billion, within a certain period,” he said.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Mahfud Md said PPATK has also blocked several of Lukas’s bank accounts containing a total sum of Rp71 billion.
