Jakarta, IO – Bawono Kumoro, researcher at Indonesian Political Indicators, pointed to the possibility of 3 pairs of candidates for the 2024 presidential election. He said a number of political parties have recently begun to look at forming coalitions.
“Of course, the possibility of three pairs of candidates in the upcoming presidential election is still open,” Bawono told Kompas, Tuesday (17/5).
Nevertheless, he said the number of candidate pairs to contest in 2024 will largely determined by the decision of PDI-P Party as the only party that could nominate its own presidential and vice presidential candidates.
