Jakarta, IO – The police has yet to arrest and detain Putri Candrawathi (PC), wife of ex-police internal affairs chief Ferdy Sambo, who has been named as one of the suspects in the murder of Police Brigadier Yoshua Hutabarat (Brigadier J). Putri’s attorney, Arman Hanis, said that her client pleaded with the investigators not to be detained because of her unstable health condition and the fact that she still has a young child to care for.

“We have submitted an appeal for her not to be detained, for humanitarian reasons according to Article 31(1) of the Criminal Code Procedures,” said Arman, as reported by CNN Indonesia, Thursday (1/9).

Although not detained, Arman said that his client was obliged to report twice a week. He guarantees that Putri will be cooperative in the investigation and will not be absent if summoned for trial.
