The last tea mixture is Suwung, which states the presence of emptiness. The Suwung tea comprises green tea, dates, vanilla grass, lemon grass and camphor sap. Green tea and dates symbolize life, while vanilla grass and lemon grass mean death, with camphor sap as life in the hereafter. A birth that meets a passing creates emptiness, or “suwung” in Sundanese.

Oza Sudewo, the tea artist, also explained that Wot Batu is a masterpiece of art. “We are very proud to collaborate with our artwork that supports a comprehensive experience at Wot Batu, starting from seeing, enjoying, and tasting (the artwork). “The three tea blending variants presented depict the human’s life journey from the source of life, Ambu or Mother, and Indriya as the five senses, to Suwung to symbolize death,” he explained.
