Jakarta, IO – Gerindra Party secretary general Ahmad Muzani said the party’s chairman Prabowo Subianto will announce whether or not to run in the 2024 presidential election at the party’s national leaders meeting at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor, Saturday (30/7).
“According to the agenda, Gerindra Party chairman and head of advisory board Prabowo Subianto will answer public question regarding his presidential bid in the 2024 election,” said Muzani, as reported by Republika, Tuesday (26/7).
Muzani said that Prabowo has the prerogative to make the decision by himself. However, Prabowo chose to make the decision together while at the same time assessing how strong the request for his candidacy is.
