Jakarta, IO – Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Mahfud MD said ex-police internal affairs chief Ferdy Sambo seems to have his own fiefdom within the National Police (Polri) headquarters. This presented “structural problems” which hampered the proper investigation into the killing of Brigadier J at Sambo’s official residence.
“What is clear is that there are structural barriers. Because of this, it is undeniable that Sambo has a very powerful clique, sort of like a headquarters within a headquarters,” said Mahfud, as reported by CNN Indonesia, Thursday (18/8).
Mahfud did not reveal further about the allegation. “There are 31 actors. And they have been detained,” said Mahfud.
