Jakarta, IO – The Ijen Caldera Nature Tourism Park (TWA) in Banyuwangi, East Java reopens to the public starting today, Saturday (6/1).

This popular tourist destination was previously closed for three days, starting Wednesday (3/1). Ijen TWA head Sigit Haribowo said that the closure was carried out in the context of evaluation after the Christmas and New Year holidays, per Kompas.

Even though it has reopened, Ijen TWA has implemented a number of rules that visitors must abide by. The first requirement is that tourists must bring and show an official health certificate from a doctor.

Tourists are also advised to have personal insurance because this is not covered by the entrance fee. Tourists are fully responsible for their personal safety. This means that the park’s management is not liable for any accident that may result in death or injury.
