South Sumatra, IO – House Committee I member Helmy Faishal Zaini and several of his colleagues from the same committee attended and observed the 2022 Super Garuda Shield (SGS) joint exercise at the Army’s combat training center in Baturaja, South Sumatra, Wednesday (3/8).

The joint exercise was officially opened by TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa and the United States Army Pacific Commander General Charles Flynn.

Helmy Faishal Zaini said SGS 2022 is a “super diplomatic activity” because the friendships built among the 13 countries are basically not preparing for war, but peace.

“This is much cheaper and far from creating anxiety, because this is an activity that contains an element of humanity,” said Helmy.
