Jakarta, IO – Taxation Director General Suryo Utomo said as of end of June 2022, tax revenue has reached Rp868.3 trillion, a 55.7 percent growth. It accounted for 58.5 percent of the target set forth in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 98/2022.

“Hopefully this will be consistent until the end of the year, although there are several notes by the Finance Minister that we must remain vigilant regarding commodity price movements and the global economic developments,” said Suryo on Wednesday (3/8).

Suryo said non-oil and gas income tax (PPh) contributed Rp519.6 trillion (69.4 percent of the target), followed by value-added tax (PPN) and luxury tax (PPnBM) which bring in Rp300.9 trillion (47.1 percent of the target), land and building tax (PBB) and other taxes amounted to Rp4.8 trillion (14.9 percent of the target, and oil and gas PPh to the tune of Rp43 trillion (66.6 percent of the target).

“There are several factors that contribute to the achievement of tax receipt until the first semester of 2022,” he said.
