Gus Yahya asked that religion, particularly Islam, should not be politicized because it will be unhealthy for NU. He emphasized that NU is not willing to be used as a political tool by any political party.
“I want to reiterate that we refuse [to be dragged into practical politics]. Don’t use identity politics, especially religious identity, including the identity of NU,” said Gus Yahya.
“Don’t exploit NU identity for politics; NU is always for the nation,” said Gus Yahya sternly. (un)
