Jakarta, IO – Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) chairman KH Yahya Cholil Staquf emphasized that NU belong to all Indonesian people, not a few individuals in response to the widespread use of NU identity for political purposes.
Popularly known as Gus Yahya, he went further to openly ask political parties to not involve NU in their election agenda.

“For all political parties, NU should not be used as a weapon for political contest, because if we let it continue like this it is not healthy,” said Gus Yahya, as per Merdeka, Monday (23/5).
