Isn’t the whole point of having a democratic state is to ensure that the people are empowered and prosperous?” Dhyani said.
“Having women on board helps to round up our democracy because we can create policies that devote attention to our specific interests and the interests of children, which are distinct from the interests of men… That said, no matter how good a policy is, it’s useless unless we have reliable and trustworthy leaders directing its implementation. Therefore, it is necessary for us to select truly competent and credible representatives – both men and women. Women voters should also start to support women representatives, in order to ensure that the laws created also protect women and their interests,” she declared.

What about family? What do they think about mama going into politics? “Alhamdulillah, praised be Allah, my husband actually encouraged me to go ahead with the candidacy. I was initially doubtful, but he supports me and tells me not to fear failure.
