Jakarta, IO – Anthony Sinisuka Ginting has again made the Indonesian badminton scene proud by winning the men’s single title at the Badminton Asia Championships (BAC) in Dubai, Sunday (30/4), reported Viva.

Ginting’s victory also created a new record for Indonesian badminton. He managed to win the match after 16 years of “dry spell.”

The last time Indonesia won BAC in men’s single was in 2007 by national badminton legend Taufik Hidayat. Following in Taufik’s footsteps, Ginting’s victory in Dubai was his first Asian Championship title.

Ginting’s success was achieved after he defeated 2023 world champion Loh Kean Yew in the final. He beat Loh in less than 30 minutes in two straight games.
