Jakarta, IO – The number of witnesses and victims of the deadly soccer riot in Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java, who requested the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has grown from 10 to 19 people.

“There are supporters, medical personnel, and injured victims,” said LPSK deputy chair Edwin Partogi Pasaribu, as reported by CNN Indonesia, Tuesday (11/10).

Edwin said that one of the reasons they asked for protection was related to their willingness to become witnesses.

“We have advised the East Java Regional Police that if needed they are ready to be questioned,” he added.
