Las Vegas, IO – It has been nearly two weeks since Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on the stage of Oscars award. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as the organizer finally made a decision regarding the incident.
The Academy’s Board of Governors, which met virtually on Friday (8/4), decided that Will Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events or programs, either in person or virtually for 10 years effective from April 8, 2022.

“During our telecast, we did not adequately address the situation in the room,” Academy President David Rubin and Academy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dawn Hudson said in a statement.
