Jakarta, IO — President-elect Prabowo Subianto who is also the defense minister emphasized that the key to world peace and prosperity is maintaining the stability of basic human needs.
This was conveyed by Prabowo when he gave a keynote speech at the Mandiri Investment Forum 2024 at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta, Tuesday (5/3).
According to Prabowo, a country’s economy it must meet the needs of the community first over other needs. For this reason, no matter what nation, religion, or economic and political philosophy, every country wants the basic things for its people, namely life, freedom and happiness.
“This means that every leader in every country must try to bring prosperity to its people regardless of the political ideology, whatever the reforms, whatever our aspirations; every leader in every country must aspire to achieve prosperity,” said Prabowo.
By creating stability, according to Prabowo, the government of a country will be able to realize ideals that have a good impact on the people, namely peace and prosperity, especially for traders, farmers and fishermen.

“If traders cannot go to the market and sell good goods, who will buy farmers’ produce, who will buy and sell fishermen’s catch, how can people fulfill their basic needs? So, in my opinion, the economy must be geared toward maintaining stability to achieve prosperity,” said Prabowo
This is certainly a big challenge for the whole world, not least developing countries such Indonesia. “In my opinion, Indonesia should be proud that we have gained the independence through decades of persistent struggle. Independence is a gift that we must continuously safeguard,” said Prabowo.
