Jakarta, IO – A number of Indonesian youth who are members of For You Palestine (FYP) held a protest to defend Palestine in front of the Egyptian Embassy, Menteng, Central Jakarta (4/3).

They conveyed their demands to the Egyptian government to step up its role in preventing Israel from continuing its genocide against the Palestinian people. They also urged to open the 7-meter-high wall surrounding Rafah that was built by the Egyptian government so the food and humanitarian aid can flow in. Rafah is where around 1.4 million Gaza residents take refuge following Israel’s ground offensive.

They also appealed to the Egyptian government to provide special land for the people of Gaza who are always haunted by Israeli bombardment and famine. So far, Egypt has been the country that has distributed the most humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, since the area became the target of Israel military operation to root out the militant group Hamas in response to its October 7 attacks last year.
