“We ask the Minister to revise Decree 405, especially regarding the special hajj quota to 8% or 8,004 people according to the law,” he said.

In response to the accusation, MORA’s Director General of Hajj and Umrah Hilman Latief said the ministry does not determine the number of pilgrims who can participate. According to him, the Ministry is only following the policies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“The decision came from Saudi Arabia,” Hilman told CNN.
Hilman did not explain further about process in deciding the number of special pilgrims. He also did not answer when asked for confirmation whether the provision violated the Hajj Law. (rr)
