IO – Juliet Capulet, Coffee and Comfort Food, located on Jalan Margonda Raya Depok, is the right choice for a cup of delicious coffee. Juliet Capulet was established in February 2013 under the name Juliet Cafe. In March 2019, the name Juliet Cafe was changed to Juliet Capulet with a different concept. The name was taken because the owner of Juliet Capulet, Dr. Yuliana Resolina Pateh, inspired by Juliet’s real name in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
Yuliana founded a cafe because she was interested in developing coffee roasting, palm sugar, tea, pepper, and others under the brand name Sari Alam and Blue-Green. Raw materials processed in the factory are obtained directly from farmers in various regions of Indonesia, such as turmeric, ginger, kencur, Maluku sago, and various types of coffee such as Maluku Coffee.
“Cafes as displays for products, and menus in cafes use our own processed products that have used computer technology so that the result is always the same,” said Dr. Yuliana, originally known as a cosmetics entrepreneur with Nefertiti Paris, Arumdalu and VJ Cosmetics brands.
In running a business, dr. Yuliana has the vision to better the health of others, so she chooses natural ingredients for health. According to her, healthy is obtained from food, while beauty is obtained by using natural cosmetics.
Hommy’s concept
Juliet Capulet’s hommy concept: the cafe has white nuances, with flowers arranged on a shelf. In front of the cafe door, there is a decoration like entering a dwelling or residence. To the right of the entrance, there is a cafe kitchen where Juliet Capulet’s typical coffee mixers are made.
The cafe which consists of three floors has a capacity of up to 300 people. On the second and third floors, there are gathering or function room facilities that are used for meetings, seminars, photography or aerobics with friends. The available facilities are very suitable for the target audience of students, workers, and businesspeople.
Mainstay Menu
Juliet Capulet has a mainstay coffee menu that is different from other cafes. In addition to serving a variety of coffee menus that are sought after by many customers, Juliet Coffee also provides Gayo Apple Cider, and Black Coffee such as Arabica Coffee, Robusta, Expresso Single, and Expresso Double.
Juliet Capulet also provides Caramel Macchiato, Caffe Latte, Cappuccino, Coffee Mocha, and Coffee Romeo menus. There are also choices of Cream Cheese Beverages such as Chocolate Con Panna, Espresso con Panna, Skotel Ice Coffee, Cheese Tea, and Green Tea Con Panna.
Strategically-located cafes near the University of Indonesia and Gunadharma Universities, and Margo City Mall, Juliet Capulet has a mainstay coffee menu of White Paris Almond and Selfie Latte. Selfie Latte is most sought after because a customer’s selfie photo can be decorated on coffee orders.
Meanwhile, favorite food menus include such items as Ribs Soup and Noodles ala Juliet Capulet. Juliet Capulet also provides a home-based menu such as Vegetable Asem, Pepes, Chicken Geprek, and others. Also available is western food such as Spaghetti, Fettuccini, Macaroni Bolognaise. For favorite snacks, Wonosobo Cassava is directly imported from the Dieng Mountains, Central Java.
For selfie lovers, Juliet Capulet provides many Instagrammable-quality room spots designed so that customers can take selfies. Juliet Capulet is open from 10.00 to 23.00 WIB on weekdays and 10.00 to 24.00 WIB on weekends.
However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, with its Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy Juliet Capulet is serving customers with an online or takeaway protocol. “Right now we choose menus that are more practical and are still delicious to eat at home.
