Jokowi brings back US$6.37B in investment from S. Korea visit

“I encourage investment from Korea, especially to accelerate the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, including the battery industry that is integrated with mining and the automotive steel industry,” added Jokowi.

Here are the three MoUs signed between Indonesia and South Korea:

  1. MoU between the Investment Ministry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the and the Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to increase sustainable green investment.
  2. Protocol to amend the MoU between the Public Works and Housing Ministry and Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation on technical cooperation on the development of Indonesia’s new administrative capital.
  3. MoU between the Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Ministry and Korea’s Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries on maritime cooperation. (rr)
