
Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari said Indonesia had previously bid to host the 2032 Olympics, but failed after it lost out to Brisbane, Australia. But he said KOI remains committed to see Indonesia eventually host the Olympics in 2036.
Raja explained that to become the host, a country must go through several stages, from interested party, continuous dialogue, targeted dialogue, to become the preferred host.
