Indonesia eyes to host Olympic in 2036

Jakarta, IO – Indonesia seeks to host the Olympics in 2036. Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali revealed that President Joko Widodo wished the Olympics to be held in Indonesia’s new administrative capital (IKN) Nusantara in East Kalimantan.

Zainudin said in preparation for the bid President Jokowi has ordered the construction of a soccer training center at IKN. According to him, this step was taken in line with the rapid improvement of the most popular sport in Indonesia.

“All sports facilities, both main and auxiliary, will be built at IKN in entirety,” said Zainudin.
