Jakarta, IO – The year-end festival season is approaching, and Jakarta is celebrating the coming new year with the biggest end-year festival in a few weeks. The 2023 Everyday Festival will last a whole week, from December 21 to 27, 2023, and present 21 prominent Indonesian musicians, with God Bless being the most-awaited performer on the 26th of December 2023, at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Cikini, Jakarta.

The 2023 Everyday Festival “Jakarta Year End Holiday Festival is Coming!” is a collaborative project between SAJILIVE! and JAKPRO, one that will perform a complete and unique event for Jakarta’s hottest holiday destination this upcoming year-end.

Tirtatinaya Aji, CEO of SAJILive!, revealed that the week-long event “Everyday Music” Intimate Music Concert Parade is a form of appreciation from SajiLive! and JAKPRO towards the Indonesian music industry by performing all Indonesian musicians in their lineup.

“The entire series of solo music concerts will be presented in a multi-themed concept. We are presenting Romantic InTIMmate, Radio Jadul Back to the 90’s, Minggu Suka-suka, Musyawarah (Musik Syantai Tanggal Merah), Berdansa Raya, Rocklamasi Day, and Ujian Anak Senja for our music enthusiasts from different genres and eras. We also aim to introduce the Indonesian young music enthusiasts’ local music journey throughout the years, an art treasure to preserve,” explained Aji.

Aji also said that the event will also pay tribute to the sense of nationalism and local pride by performing “A Tribute to Ismail Marzuki” by Sisitipsi, “Urban x Culture Collaboration” by Tiket Band and the millennial singer Prigel Pangayuan, and “The Pride of IKJ” by Club Eighties & White Shoes n The Couples Company, prominent musicians upholding the pride of Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ).

“The peak performance of the festival is our beloved legendary band Godbless, performing right on their 50th anniversary in the Indonesian music industry. Godbless first formed and performed at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, in 1973. A special performance by Godbless, the theme is ‘Back to 1973’,” stated Aji.

Godbless, led by Ahmad Albar (vocals), with Ian Antono (guitar), Donny Fattah (bass), Abadi Soesman (keyboard), and Fajar Satritama (drums), expressed their appreciation to SAJILIVE! and JAKPRO for celebrating their 50th anniversary with the 2023 Everyday Festival at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta.

“Godbless will always be emotionally connected with Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. We held our first concert at Taman Ismail Marzuki. Godbless is 50 years old, and Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, is 55 years old. Our performance at Taman Ismail Marzuki on December 26, 2023, would be a profoundly nostalgic experience. We hope our fans can appreciate our work over these 50 years,” emphasized Ahmad Albar.

Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) was chosen to hold the event to introduce the new look of Taman Ismail Marzuki to the Indonesian public. TIM, at the age of 55, is recognized as one of the legendary art and cultural destinations in Jakarta.

Apart from the Intimate Music Concert Parade, the 2023 Everyday Festival also offers other exciting year-end holiday options at TIM, where visitors can explore cool educational attractions at the Jakarta Library, take selfies at various open spaces in Plaza Jakarta Theater, and explore architecturally artistic buildings.
