Ghanim’s parents – Mohammed Al-Muftah and Eman Ahmad – had to make a big decision after learning about their child’s physical disability. They decided to keep their baby. Eman finally gave birth to Ghanim and his twin brother Ahmad.
Since then, Ghanim has become an extraordinary person. He continues to inspire many people thanks to his persistence in trying to live a normal life. He never lamented his condition and continued to steel himself to do extremely challenging things that are difficult to do even for normal people. Ghanim, for example, succeeded in climbing Mount Shams, the highest peak in the Arabian Gulf.
Not only that, he is also involved in a number of other sports such as swimming, scuba diving, soccer, hiking and skateboarding. Ghanim also has great business acumen. He set up Gharissa Ice Cream which earned him the reputation as Qatar’s youngest entrepreneur.
