Jakarta, IO – Crowd of supporters thronged to a joint viewing of the semi-final match between the Indonesia and Uzbekistan U-23 national football teams at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta. The event was organized by the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) as the two teams clashed at the 2024 AFC Asian Cup at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
Six gigantic screens were installed to broadcast the match live from Qatar to the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, allowing the audience to experience the live atmosphere of the match.

Even though Indonesia lost with a score of 0-2, the boisterous fans stayed on to give their massive support. There was a palpable sense of dismay when the goal by M. Ferrari was invalidated by the referee after a VAR check. As the match ended, many of them started to leave the venue looking downcast. However, many also expressed their pride that the national team was able to make it that far especially since this is the country’s first ever semi-final appearance in the biennial international football championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
