Gerindra Party represents Indonesia at BRICS forum

Jakarta, IO Gerindra Party was entrusted to represent Indonesia at the BRICS Political Parties, Think-tanks, and Civil Society Organizations forum. BRICS is an acronym for the grouping of world’s leading emerging economies that comprise Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. This year’s theme was “Solidarity and Cooperation Towards Shared Development and a Brighter Future.” The conference was conducted virtually on Thursday (19/5).

The international forum was initiated by Chinese President Xi Jinping to convene more than 130 political party leaders, government officials and civil society organizations from around the world to work hand in hand and open up opportunities for international cooperation to create a better future through a closer, more comprehensive, concrete and inclusive partnership in economy and global security.

“At the summit we can talk about many facets of development, for the benefit of humanity and the interests of our people,” said Gerindra Party secretary general H. Ahmad Muzani in an official statement, Sunday (22/5).
