IO, Jakarta – International financial professionals association Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) will host a global conference to discuss developments around the financial industry and associated services in a world reeling from COVID-19. The online conference will help improve MDRT members’ knowledge and capabilities to continue to provide wise counsel to their clients, as well as continuing their professional growth. The MDRT Virtual Event 2020 will begin on 3 August 2020.
“The COVID-19 pandemic and its link with an ongoing global recession make it more important than ever for our members to utilize their networks and empower each other’s growth toward new personal and professional heights,” commented MDRT President Regina Bedoya, CLU, ChFC. She added that the collaborative event will help MDRT members to do more than just make it through this tough time, but also help them thrive.
Meanwhile, MDRT Court of the Table member Hidayatus Solicha says that the current recession in the global economy compels MDRT members to try to find ways to maximize their potential. “I’ll be speaking at the MDRT Virtual Event 2020, to address how members can do this with strong focus, the right mindset, and faith in their capabilities,” she added.
Each day, the event will feature Main Platform and MDRT Speaks sessions addressing universal lessons for industry and personal achievement, as well as Focus Sessions on more specialized client services or practice management topics from industry experts. The conference will feature prominent speakers such as former NFL player Jon Dorenbros, Miss USA winner and US Army officer Deshuana Barber, and relationship expert Esther Perel.
The event will also have Indonesian speakers such as Prasetyo Budiono, an MDRT member from Prudential Life Insurance and a member of the Sharia Agency Executive Council (AEC), Billy Tegar Pradipta, an MDRT member from Tokio Marine Life Insurance, Anwar Aonillah of Manulife Life Insurance Indonesia, and Hidatayus Solicha, a Court of the Table MDRT member from Allianz-Life Indonesia.
MDRT is a financial services professionals association founded in the US in 1927. Currently, MDRT has more than 72 thousand members from 500 companies in 70 countries. MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of excellence in the life insurance and financial services business.
MDRT has been present in Indonesia since 1993. MDRT Indonesia currently has 2,745 members with 171 Court of the table members, and 25 Top of the Table members. Since 2010, membership in Indonesia has grown by nearly 500%.
MDRT Indonesia also routinely hosts the MDRT Day, an MDRT conference that has become the largest such local event on the MDRT calendar in the region attracting over 7,000 attendees. This year’s MDRT Day will be held virtually.
The MDRT Virtual Event 2020 will be broadcast in five global time zones, with over 200 pieces of content, broadcast and translated into Bahasa Indonesian, during the five-day main event and subsequent On-Demand weeks throughout the rest of the month. On-Demand content will be grouped into three weekly themes: Navigating through Uncertain Times, Creating a Growth Mindset and Becoming a Whole Person.
