Jakarta, IO – The rape scandal within the Cooperatives and SMEs Ministry at the end of 2019 resurfaced. Two suspects, identified as MF and NN, were sacked in 2020. However, the other two suspects, WH and ZP, were only demoted and still work at the ministry.
Radit, the brother of victim N, who also works at the ministry, said he was furious because in the last two months he has requested to be transferred to other department because he has to work in the same room with the suspects who raped his sister, reported BBC Indonesia, Thursday (27/10).
“I told the head of the sub-division, no one can guarantee that I won’t have a conflict with the perpetrators. After all, it’s awkward,” said Radit.
He also questioned the vision and mission of the institution to provide protection to every citizen. “What protection? What sense of security? The predators are still being protected. The are still working. I am working under the same roof with them,” he said.
